Come see the results of our first Open House!

Downsview Park, in the spirit of its ongoing requirement for community input and ideas, invites you to our second open house in the Gateways Project where we will be sharing the input and ideas gleaned from the first open house held on March 7.

Downsview Park is creating three major gateway (entryway) features on the Park's perimeter, along Keele Street:
1. Keele Street/Sheppard Avenue
2. Keele Street/Diana Drive
3. Keele Street/Whitburn Crescent

At the first open house we asked the public:

What do you envision as a gateway (entryway) into the Park?

• If you were walking/driving along Keele Street, what would you like to see that would invite you/people into the Park?
• Think of your own house or those of your friends, or even places of interest you've visited. How do you enter and how does the entrance resonate with you?
• In relation to this, how do you see the Park's vision reflected in entrances?

Award-winning design team, Janet Rosenberg & Associates (JRA) have been brought onboard to assist Downsview Park with this project. On Monday, April 12, JRA will present the input received from the public and how the ideas received have influenced the design process, going forward, for the gateways. We've received many great ideas and fabulous feedback. Thank you to everyone who contributed. Please join us.
