David Soknacki

David Soknacki

David Soknacki is Founder and President of Ecom Food Industries Corporation, a distribution and manufacturing business that employs 20 people and exports to approximately 30 countries. Mr. Soknacki holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Western Ontario and a bachelor of commerce from the University of Toronto. He has extensive experience in municipal government, having served as councillor for the cities of Scarborough and Toronto. He has also served as a board member for the Toronto District Health Council, chair of the Toronto Atmospheric Fund and director of the Metropolitan Toronto Housing Development Corporation. He is also a columnist for Metroland Publishing.

Mr. Soknacki was appointed Chair of the Board of Directors of Parc Downsview Park Inc. (PDP) in June 2007 for a five-year term. Mr. Soknacki also serves on the Audit, Budget & Operations and Development committees.




Rob Lowry

Rob Lowry

Rob Lowry currently provides consulting services to public and private sector organizations, particularly as a fairness advisor to all levels of government. Mr. Lowry holds both a Bachelor of Architecture as well as an MBA from the University of Toronto and brings 35 years of career expertise in facility planning and property management. He has 18 years of experience with the Ontario Public Service, including a term as Assistant Deputy Minister that led to the creation of the Ontario Realty Corporation. Mr. Lowry has consulted in Europe, North Africa and Asia Minor and is currently a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, Retired Member of the Ontario Association of Architects, and past volunteer to the Rotman School of Management.

Mr. Lowry was reappointed to the Board in May 2009 for a term of three years, continuing his appointment which began in January 2007. Mr. Lowry also chairs the Development Committee.




Carlo Di Gioacchino

Carlo Di Gioacchino

Carlo Di Gioacchino is currently vice-president of Business Development at Dundurn Capital Partners Inc. involved in the development of off-campus student housing under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). Previously he was vice-president at Futureway Communications Inc. where he was involved in deploying leading-edge technologies to newly constructed residential and industrial developments in the Greater Toronto Area. Mr. Di Gioacchino holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in commercial and administrative studies from the University of Western Ontario. He is a member of a number of organizations, including the Canadian-Italian Business and Professional Association of Toronto, the Community Advisory Council of the Vaughan Community Health Care Centre and numerous charitable fundraising events, including seniors' and mental health organizations.

Mr. Di Gioacchino is currently serving a four-year term that began in May 2007. Mr. Di Gioacchino is also a member of the Audit and the Budget & Operations committees.




Anish Makim

Anish Makim

Anish Makim is currently employed with TELUS, a telecommunications company, where he is responsible for the development and execution of strategy and marketing programs. Mr. Makim holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfred Laurier University. Prior to joining TELUS, Mr. Makim was a consultant with CFCOR Consulting, where he provided strategic advice in the areas or mergers, acquisitions, financial models and revenue growth strategies across various industries including, financial services, media and entertainment.

Mr. Makim is serving a three-year term that began in May 2007. Mr. Makim also chairs the Audit Committee and serves on the Budget & Operations Committee.




Geoff Cape

Geoff Cape

Geoff Cape is Founder and Executive Director of Evergreen, a national charity that explores the relationship between nature, culture and community in urban spaces, as well as the founding chair of the Sustainability Network, and a member of the Lake Ontario Park Steering Committee. Mr. Cape holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queen's University and a Masters of Management from McGill University. A regular speaker on urban issues, Mr. Cape was also recognized for his green design leadership with a NAIOP REX Award and is also a past winner of Canada's "Top 40 Under 40" Award. He was recently selected as a delegate of the Toronto's Creative Cities International Study Group and inducted into the Ashoka International Fellowship in Washington D.C.

Mr. Cape is currently serving a four-year term that began in October 2007. He also vice-chairs the Development Committee.




Kristin Matthews

Kristin Matthews

Kristin Matthews is a senior professional at Soberman LLP, where she is a Senior Manager in the Claims Valuation and Litigation Support group, specializing in loss quantification for insurance and litigation claims. Prior to joining Soberman LLP, Ms. Matthews was a senior associate in the practice area of dispute analysis and investigations at a top-four international public accounting firm. Ms. Matthews holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a focus on Criminology from Queen's University and a post-graduate diploma in Investigative and Forensic Accounting from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.

Ms. Matthews is currently serving a four-year term that began in October 2007. Ms. Matthews also vice-chairs the Audit Committee, and serves on the Budget & Operations Committee.




Warren Rudick

Warren Rudick

Warren Rudick is currently employed as Assistant Vice-President & Counsel, Canadian Investment Law at Manulife Financial, specializing in investment fund law. His diversified legal experience includes corporate law, employment law, information technology law, intellectual property law, charity law, litigation and commercial leasing law. Mr. Rudick holds a bachelor of common laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, a bachelor of administrative and commercial studies degree from the University of Western Ontario and a diplôme d'études collégiales in commerce from Marianopolis College in Montréal. He also has earned designations as a Canadian Investment Manager and as a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. Mr. Rudick is currently also active in the local community as Treasurer of registered charity Toronto Jewish Free Loan Cassa and as a member of the Balmoral Homeowner's Association. He is also currently serving the City of Toronto as Citizen Appointee (trustee) to the City's Investment Advisory Committee and Sinking Fund Committee.

Mr. Rudick is serving a three-year term that began in February 2008. Mr. Rudick also serves on the Audit and Budget & Operations committees.





Ron Colucci

Ron Colucci

Mr. Colucci holds a bachelor of arts degree from York University, a master of business administration from the University of Toronto and a Certified General Accountants Association of Canada (CGA) designation. He is currently self-employed as an accountant in public practice. Prior employment includes serving as corporate controller of a group of commercial companies with Tectum Ltd. and as secretary/treasurer and controller with Schlegel Canada Inc. Mr. Colucci is past president of the Certified Accountants of Ontario and is a fellow and past chair of the board of the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada. Mr. Colucci received the distinguished service award from the CGA and is a life member of CGA Ontario. He is also presently a member of the Public Accountants Council for the Province of Ontario. Mr. Colucci is an active lecturer on topics relating to accounting and taxation; a writer for business and accounting journals; and an active volunteer with various community organizations.

Mr. Colucci is currently serving a four-year term that began in June 2008. Mr. Colucci also chairs the Budget & Operations Committee and serves on the Audit Committee.
