Downsview Park is an ideal spot for summer camp fun for kids 6 to 12 years of age. Hosted at Downsview Park's certifed EcoCentre, all our programs teach about sustainability. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe and energetic learning environment with an emphasis on sustainability and camper well being.

We offer:

  • Themed programming for children 6 to 10.
  • Sports camp for children 6 to 12.
  • *NEW* Eco Camp for children 8-12
  • An optional lunch program from Downsview Park's The Hangar Grill featuring fresh sandwiches, fruit, juices, desserts (including Pizza Fridays).
  • Optional Pizza Lunch Friday.
  • Optional extended care, 8 am to 5:30 pm.
  • Low counsellor to camper ratio.
  • An ideal balance of fun activities, education and sports.

Program costs for 2013:

Regular registration (after May 31): $180/week/child
Short week (July 2 - 5; Aug 6 - 9): $144/week/child
Optional lunch program (including Pizza Friday): $42.50*/week/child
Optional Pizza Lunch Friday: $8.50*/week/child
Optional extended care: $35/week/child (8 am - 5:30 pm)
Early bird registration (on or before May 31): $165/week/child

Refer a Friend

Past campers who refer a friend to register with Summer Dayz Camp will receive a free Summer Dayz Camp T-shirt! Registrants indicate who referred them on their online registration form.

Nature's Nest

Campers explore the groves and meadows of Downsview Park through nature walks, crafts, gardening and wildlife studies.
Science Quest
July 8 - 12
Aug. 12 - 16
Campers become science wizards through a variety of experiments and hands-on investigations.
The Great Outdoors
July 15 - 19
Aug. 19 - 23
This program allows campers to have fun while exploring the natural environment with creative crafts and outdoor games.
Art in the Park
July 22 - 26
Aug. 26 - 30
For the creative camper, this week is filled with crafts, visual art, and music and lasting memories.
The Summer Dayz Games
Aug. 8 - 12 (short)
Campers learn about eating healthy and will grow good food in the Downsview Park garden. Campers participate in Downsview Park's mini Olympics.

Our multi-sports camp offers instruction in a variety of sports from soccer, volleyball, basketball, ball hockey and more. For younger campers, we emphasize "getting involved" and keeping active. Older children will be encouraged to improve skills and practice good sportsmanship. Older children may also have the opportunity to experience other Sports Centre facilities, such as indoor rock-wall climbing.

 

  Eco Camp weeks for children 8 to 12 years old

Aug. 12 - 16

Explore the natural world at Downsview Park through this new eco-themed camp. Based at the Orchard Pavilion, this camp is geared towards the camper who loves to be outside! Hike through the park, visit the lake, gardens, meadows and much more! This camp is based almost entirely outdoors. (Please note the lunch program is not offered with this camp.) 

 

Payment terms:

  • Full payment is due with registration.
  • We accept: Cash (Please do not mail cash.); cheque payable to Downsview Park; and credit card.

  • Register ONLINE now.
  • Register in person at Downsview Park's main office, 1-35 Carl Hall Road, Toronto. Please make an appointment (416-952-2222) to speak with the camp staff if interested in registering in person. (Staff are often teaching programs.)

Sign up for five consecutive days of camp and be eligible for the Children's Fitness Tax Credit!

*The completion of a waiver and a Downsview Park Health Form is mandatory before children can participate in camp programming.
