All of Downsview Park’s sports leagues are housed in The Hangar, a keystone facility of the Downsview Park Sports Centre and one of the best-known destinations at Downsview Park. A year-round roster of activities at The Hangar attracts sports fans of all ages and interests. The Hangar offers indoor fields, outdoor fields, indoor beach volleyball courts and an indoor ball hockey arena for sports leagues and tournaments organized by Downsview Park. The Hangar is also home to The Hangar Grill restaurant.

Soccer

The Hangar is home to Downsview Park’s adult and youth, indoor and outdoor soccer leagues. Four indoor fields and three outdoor fields—one domed in winter—allow for maximum soccer league play. 

Volleyball

Two beach volleyball courts partnered with courts at Volleyball Canada’s neighbouring facility keep Downsview Park’s adult beach volleyball league playing year round.

Ball Hockey

The Downsview Park Ball Hockey League also plays each season with adult and youth leagues offered at the indoor ball hockey arena in The Hangar. Spend the day, join a league, bring your office or your family and friends. Come out to Downsview Park!

Mosquito airplanes used to be manufactured by de Havilland in the building that is now The Hangar.

The Hangar is part of the much larger Downsview Park Sports Centre which includes Athletic Training Professionals, Grand Prix Kartways, HoopDome, National Squash Academy, PEAC, Toronto School of Circus Arts, Toronto Skate Park, Volleyball Canada, TFC Academy & Training Facility and Buckingham Arenas. The Hangar is owned and operated by Downsview Park.
